About this journal
ZA publishes articles and reviews in all areas of Assyriology, including Near Eastern archaeology and art history. The main geographical areas covered are Mesopotamia, Northern Syria, Anatolia, Ancient Armenia, and Elam from the fourth to first millennia BC. All articles are peer-reviewed.

The Zeitschrift für Assyriologie und Vorderasiatische Archäologie is published in two issues annually. All communications to the editors, books for review, and manuscripts should be addressed to:

1. Submission of manuscripts
Please send the manuscript as an anonymised PDF file containing the entire article including all figures directly to the editor (wasa@lmu.de).
A separate peer review process is conducted for each issue.
Final manuscripts should be submitted as PDF and as Word documents without figures. A 5-line abstract in English is requested. Figures should be attached as separate image files (for example JPG). Drawings require a resolution of 1200 dpi, photos 300 dpi.
